COWBOY MUSIC AND POETRY TRAIN
9:45 am @ Durango Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad


Reserve now for the Cowboy Music and Poetry Train. Musicians and Poets will be featured in various cars. Train leaves promptly at 9:45 AM (be there early). Arrives at Cascade Canyon at lunch time.  There will be more entertainment in the pavillion as you enjoy a box lunch in beautiful surroundings. 

Box lunches available when purchasing tickets or bring your own. There is also a concession car on the train serving light snacks.  Vintage Coach $81.00 for adults, $57 for children, Open Air Gondola $89 Adults; $65 Children. (8% Historic Preservation Fee will be included)

COWBOY GATHERING TRAIL RIDE AND LUNCH

Offered by Bears Ranch (Hwy 550N), this beautiful 2 hour horseback ride will take you on a series of  interconnected trails through Chris Park and the lovely Haviland Lake areas of the San Juan National Forest. Meander through colorful aspen groves and ponderosa pines as you enjoy breathtaking views of the San Juan Mountains and Hermosa Cliffs No better way to experience the beauty of Colorado than on the back of a horse.

Return to the stables for a delicious catered lunch by Lone Spur Café along while enjoying some genuine cowboy entertainment.

A TRIBUTE TO MISS KITTY FROM THE TV SERIES GUNSMOKE
3:00 pm @ Wild Horse Saloon ~ 601 E. 2nd Avenue


Ellie English has a strong background in classical theater, vocal training, historic dance and costuming. Her latest work has been writing and performing living history lectures about the ladies of the West at theaters, museums and festivals.  Her portrayal of Miss Kitty of Gunsmoke fame includes a presentation with songs from the show.
