Bob was raised on a cattle ranch in Lincoln County, New Mexico.  He earned a degree in range science from New Mexico State University and now runs a few head of cows and owns and operates a beef processing business.  Bob has entertained poetry fans all over the western U.S.  When Baxter Black was asked who makes him laugh, he named Bob Bird.  Bob¹s poetry comes from real life experiences of working and living on the New Mexico range.  He will tell you that his poems are all true but, judging from the twinkle in his eye, you should determine that for yourself.
